Wonderful old furniture can not be thrown away, especially if it is generally in good condition, just in some places rough edges and abrasions are visible. This French chest of drawers of 1980 was covered with scratches, in some areas there was a shortage of parts, but the chest of drawers was whole, strong, beautiful, made of good wood. A small and budgetary transformation, I must say, went to him only in favor:
Before starting work, the chest was cleaned with a mixture of vinegar and water.
Then several times walked grinding machine.
Then the edges were stained in a single layer so that the edge was brighter than the tabletop.
Lit pink paint, mixing white and red in the right proportions.
They took out the lockers, began to paint the dresser on the sides. Pink paint was applied in two layers to completely paint over the chest of drawers.
There was not enough protruding part on the cabinet, it was modeled with a plastic hardening material (for example, Sugru Molded Glue).
Sprayed on top of a white spray paint and only then - pink.
Then they put the stain in one layer on the surface of the tabletop and another one along the edges to highlight them.
Gold paint was applied to the details to create the effect of antique gold-plated pens.
Unfastened the part with the mirror, took out the mirror. Polished surface, put stain. Returned the parts in place.
The cabinets are decorated on the inside with scrapbooking paper.
