One has only to start one houseplant, how I want to fill the whole house with them! Succulents plants allow you to grow them in a small amount of land, and sometimes even on special stones. Starting with a small sprig, you can breed a whole colony in the house. Watching how your green wards fill the house is very nice!

Try these 5 tips, and you will be able to breed a small family in your window sill over the winter.

1. Tear off a leaf or stem from a plant.

There are two ways of plant reproduction - from the stem and from the leaf. If you want to use the stem, cut the twig right above the leaf with special sharp scissors. To prevent the plant from getting sick, warm the scissors over boiling water. If you go to plant a leaflet, choose the largest and without any defects. Gently pull it from side to side until it comes off. The leaf should come off smoothly, leaving a small groove on the stem. For planting fit only a whole sheet without damage.

2. Add growth

If you want quick results, just dip the edges of the leaf in a hormone that accelerates growth. It can be obtained in specialized stores. It should be noted that this step is not mandatory for succulents, since they themselves take root well and grow quickly.

3. Ensure rooting

It is important to ensure that the root is not rotten. Therefore, before planting, dry the plant for several days in the sun. Do not worry that the plant dries. Succulents have a large supply of water in the stems and leaves, so they easily endure such tests.

4. Landing time

After the formation of small roots, the plant can be transplanted into the soil. You can select each sprout for your pot, or plant them together, creating a kind of plantation. Instead of soil, you can use a specialized mass for succulents, which is more costly with their delicate roots.

5. Care for your new wards.

Now it remains only to follow the basic recommendations for the care of the selected type of plants. The soil should not be watered too often. Between watering, it should dry completely. To save the plants from excessive watering, use a spray. Succulents can be fed once a year in spring or summer.
