Knitted things come into fashion again. And if you have not yet been able to master the technology of knitting and crocheting, but want to get a cozy scarf, just try to weave it!

No additional equipment you will need. In this way, you can weave a scarf of wool yarn right on the table. And everyone who sees this beautiful accessory will be delighted!

You will need:

  • 2 large skeins of thick wool yarn (or 3-4 ordinary skeins);
  • rectangular table;
  • scissors

The work process is as follows. Turn the yarn to the width of the table. Stretch one end under the table so that the ends of the threads are connected. Such strips need 10 pieces. Cut the thread, leaving a small margin (let the strands be slightly longer than necessary).

So, you have 10 pieces of yarn, the length of which is slightly more than the full girth of the table cover.

Lay out on the table all the pieces of thread so that they hang from one edge of the table more, on the other less.

Now you need to take each strand and tie its ends together. Make sure the strands do not cross over and do not sag too much.

Now slide all the threads together, aligning the knots in one line.

Now you need to secure the ball to one of the strands, and begin the process of weaving. The whole ball of thread is pushed under one thread, and then over the next. Spread 10 threads on a plane, pass under the first, above the second, below the third, above the fourth, and so on. After reaching the tenth, twist the thread around it, and return in the opposite direction. And so, until you get a canvas of the desired length.

At some point, when you feel that several rows are woven loosely enough, simply pull the transverse threads to the beginning of the woven fabric. Thus, you can adjust the density of your scarf.

Weaving one side, just pull the strands, and continue the process.

In order to make a fringe, start to weave from the middle of the scarf to the edges and stop at the length that you want to leave. Repeat the process from both ends, otherwise at the beginning of weaving the fringe may be poorly fixed.

It remains only to pair the strands into knots, and cut them off in order to achieve a smooth edge.

The scarf is ready! It remains only to wash it to the texture looked even neater.
