A quick solution for lunch: do it yourself bouillon cubes

Many people are well aware that homemade food made from natural products is much healthier than convenience foods, but not every housewife has time for daily cooking. The advertised bouillon cube, in which many do not dare and read, seems such a simple solution. Do not test the strength of your own stomach! Prepare a healthy substitute that will enhance the taste of your soups and main dishes, or even become the basis of dinner.

You will need:

  • Chicken on the bone (can be replaced by another meat);
  • celery stalks (or root vegetables);
  • bow;
  • carrot;
  • garlic;
  • Bay leaf;
  • bell pepper

Choose the ratio of products to your taste, focusing on the usual recipe of your favorite broth. Important: this preparation should not be salted, you will do this already when cooking the main dish. If you are cooking broth for children, instead of meat on the bone, which gives a richer taste, choose a fillet. Cut the chicken into pieces and bake in the oven at 180 degrees for about 30 minutes. It is baked meat will make the taste of broth more vivid.

Put ready meat, chopped vegetables and spices into the pan. Simmer for about 6-8 hours. The lower the cooking temperature, the better. If possible, cook in the oven or even a slow cooker (60 degrees). Ideal broth should stew on the fire until the meat is easy to move away from the bone.

Strain the broth through a fine sieve and send to cool in the refrigerator. Meat can be used to prepare a salad or main dishes.

After cooling, remove the grease that collects on the surface.

Now it remains to pour the broth into the form. It can be used for muffins or muffins, or for ice (then it will really make cubes).

After freezing, the broth is folded into a bag and sent to storage in the freezer. Now at hand is always delicious, and most importantly a useful cube!

These "cubes" do an excellent job with the same tasks as the store, only without harm to the stomach.
