Turkish kurabie cookies are recognizable sweets. Interestingly this oriental delicacy is not only exquisite taste, but also impeccable appearance. Gentle and crumbly, moderately sweet kurabi represents a cross between sandy and rich cookies.

For cooking you will need:

  • 250 g butter or margarine;
  • 100 ml of vegetable oil;
  • 1 egg;
  • 2/3 cup of powdered sugar;
  • 1 cup of starch;
  • 2 cups of flour;
  • 1 bag of vanilla;
  • 1 bag of baking powder;
  • chocolate for fudge;
  • almond petals, coconut chips, chopped pistachios or other nuts as desired.

To the softened butter or margarine add vegetable oil.

There we drive an egg and add vanilla.

All whisk whisk until smooth. Add powdered sugar and whisk again.

Add starch, flour and baking powder and knead the dough with your hands.

After the dough is ready, divide it into small pieces.

We form balls a little larger than a walnut, spread on a baking sheet and send to an oven preheated to 180 ° C for 15-20 minutes.

Ready made kurabi slightly toasted. Cookies may have characteristic cracks. As the cookies cool, prepare the nuts and melt the chocolate.

Cooled Kurabe dipped in chocolate, and then in the nut or coconut.

After the fudge completely hardens, we shift the kurabia to the dish and serve it to the table.

Optionally, cookies can be further sprinkled with powdered sugar.
