Pre-soak

If you pour rice with cold water at least an hour before cooking, it will have time to swell a little. An added bonus will be a smaller amount of starch in the finished dish. Ideally, the water should cover the rice with at least 2 fingers.

In the tank, where it is planned to cook the rice, we melt 50-70 g of butter, add hot water at the rate of 1: 1 to the swollen rice and salt, bring it to the boil and add rice, having got rid of excess liquid.

Cover the rice with a lid, reduce the heat and leave it alone for 15 minutes. Roughly this time is just enough for the water to evaporate. This is a sign that rice is ready. Now he needs to stand under the lid for half an hour.

Fry and enjoy the crispness

We wash rice in a large amount of water, then we recline on a colander and let it drain well.

In a deep frying pan or pan pour 2 tablespoons. vegetable oil. As soon as the pan is warm enough, we send rice to it and fry, stirring constantly, for 5-10 minutes. During this time, the rice should turn white.

Pour water in a 1: 2 ratio to the initial volume of rice in a saucepan, bring it to a boil, add salt and add rice to sleep. Then simply cover the rice with a lid and cook over low heat until the water evaporates.

The more water the better

Pour into the pan at least 2 liters of water, bring to a boil, salt and pour the previously washed rice. In parallel, we put on the kettle kettle.

When the rice is almost ready, send it to a colander, then wash it with pre-prepared boiling water and let it drain for 5 minutes.

Pour the rice into the pan, add a little butter or vegetable oil, mix thoroughly and bring to readiness over low heat under the lid for 5-7 minutes. Then turn off the fire and give the rice a little brew.
