Exterior wall decoration is not easy. It is sometimes difficult to find inspiration to make old gray walls or walls of old brick a little friendlier. But we found a unique way to breathe new life into your walls ... literally! Try it on your garage or home and then watch how neighbors turn green with envy ...

Here's what you need:

  • Handful of moss
  • 2 cups kefir or plain yogurt
  • ½ teaspoon sugar
  • Water or beer (optional)
  • Blender
  • Brush
  • Bucket

The first thing you need to do is find some kind of moss. Perhaps he is already on some of your walls, but if not, then you will surely find him in a nearby park or forest. Some species of moss are listed in the red book so if you collect it in the forest make sure that you do not violate the laws of your region. For this project, the most appropriate will be moss, which is already growing in your area / quarter, for example, on the walls.

Wash the moss to clean it of dirt and excess soil.

The next step is to place the moss in a blender, preferably one that you no longer feel sorry for, since it can get very dirty.

Now add kefir (or yogurt), sugar and water (or beer) to the mixture. Mix all at low revs. The mixture should have a puree consistency when you're done.

Pour the contents of the blender into the bucket and select the wall where you will create your artistic masterpiece. Northern walls or walls in the shade is the most suitable option for this.

Now with a brush, you can apply the mixture on the wall. Just as the artist draws a picture.

Make sure that the mixture is not too liquid - it should not flow down the wall while you wield the brush.

It remains to show your imagination and draw a picture or an intricate inscription on the wall.

Tip: If the mixture is too thin, just add a little sugar syrup.

Over the next few weeks, watch the humidity regularly moistening the pattern (from a spray bottle, not a hose) and you will soon notice that the moss is growing.

In a couple of weeks, your friends and neighbors will be shocked by an eco-friendly masterpiece!
